Researchers asked influential students from 56 middle schools to spread anti-bullying and anti-conflict messages using posters, wristbands, and Instagram and encouraging others about positive ways to resolve conflict. In just a year, schools with the student influencers saw a 30 percent drop in student conflict reports.
The researchers from Rutgers, Princeton and Yale hope that their study findings will encourage schools and parent to utilize influential students to help spread anti-bullying messages.
