Wissel Insurance Services, Inc. strives to streamline all of your insurance needs. As an insurance agency, we do not process claims ourselves, however would like to be advised of any claims that you process with the carrier.
To start the claims process, the carrier will need the following information:
Policyholder information: Name of insured, address, phone number, e-mail and policy number
Description of loss: Time and date of loss, location of incident, detailed description of damages
Vehicle information (for traffic accidents only): Current location of vehicle, owner information, driver information, type of car (year, make and model), license plate number
Authority notification: Please note all authorities notified (fire dept., police, etc.)
Report information: Report author, title (if any), date
Additional comments: Is there anything else you think is pertinent? (injuries, etc.)
We understand that the time just after the death of a loved one is difficult. When this occurs however, life insurance can in many cases provide almost immediate cash to meet pressing needs. The first step when seeking this benefit is to file a claim.
The necessary steps to follow:
Call the insurance carrier with whom the policy is with. That information can typically be found on the policy itself. If you cannot locate this information, please feel free to contact our office.
Information that you will need is the insured’s name, date of birth, date of death and Life insurance policy number. In addition, you will need a certified copy of the insured’s death certificate and a claim form completed by the beneficiary.
